Astra is preparing for a mission for the Space Force's Space Test Program (STP-27AD1) on their Rocket 3.3 from Kodiak, Alaska. It is a test/demonstration mission. This follows a few failures Astra has experienced.
Rocket 3.1's orbital attempt, the flight was terminated about 30 seconds into the mission.
The 2nd stage of Rocket 3.2 almost reached orbit but reentered early because of poor mixing of propellants.
It is very important that the next flight success because this is the first orbital mission with payload.
Launch is scheduled for August 27.
