On Tuesday, January 25 at 23:44 UTC (6:44 ET), CNSA (the Chinese National Space Administration) launched the L-SAR 01A (Gongjian Ludi Tance-1 01A) satellite to a quasi-sun-synchronous orbit atop a Long March 4C rocket from Site 9401 at the Jiquan Satellite Launch Center in China. The Ludi Tance satellites are equipped with a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) to track the evolution of terrain for either public works, earthquake assessing, or landslide prevention. This was the 7th orbital attempt of 2022 and the 39th launch of Long March 4C.
