Firefly Alpha Launch

Watch Scott Manley's analysis of the first launch attempt by FireFly aerospace with their FireFly Alpha rocket. As always, he does a great job in showing footage from different sources and tries to explain possible causes of the failure.

Also check out the official statement that was released on September 2. The company stated that the rocket "experienced an anomaly resulting in an early end of the mission" but they say that "it's too early to draw conclusions as to the root cause".

Furthermore, the Vandenberg Space Force Base specified that the "Space Launch Delta 30 terminated teh Firefly Aerospace Inc., Alpha rocket over the Pacific Ocean at 7:01 p.m. Pacific Time after a successful lift off at 6:59 p.m". As per this statement, it is very likely that the FTS (flight termination system) has been triggered after the rocket spun out of control.
