
On Friday, April 29 at 11:30pm EDT (3:30 UTC on April 30), China launched five Jilin-1 Earth observation satellites on a Long March 11H (Chang Zheng 11H) rocket from the Tai Rui barge stationed in the Yellow Sea. The Jilin-1 satellites are high-definition Earth observation satellites. The satellites launched on this mission were numbered Jilin-1 03D-04, 03D-05, 03D-06, and 03D-07. In addition, a prototype next generation Jilin-1 satellite was launched, Jilin-1 04A. This was the 47th orbital launch attempt of 2022 and the 11th Long March 11 launch.
