NASA prepares for final SLS Stacking

Credits: NASA/Frank Michaux

NASA's SLS rocket is almost fully stacked. The only two pieces remaining is the Orion Adapter and Orion. Recently, the SLS was tested in the VAB with the mobile launcher arms quickly retracting from the rocket. Recently, NASA also completed the DCR (Design Certification Review). Following final stacking next week, the SLS will roll out to LC-39B. There, it will undergo a Wet Dress Rehearsal (WDR) which means Launch Control will go through everything that happens to the rocket before launch. The SLS will then roll back to the VAB for check outs before rolling back out for launch. The Artemis I launch is currently slated to launch in January 2022.
