After two launch attempts, the Exploration Ground Systems team is working on replacing the seal between an umbilical and the Quick Disconnect interface on the engine section of the core stage of the SLS. The Launch Control attempted to seal the leak of liquid hydrogen during Saturday's launch attempt. Plan A was to stop flow, let the umbilical warm up, and then slowly start filling. Plan B was to use helium to try to pressurize the umbilical and Plan C was a repeat of Plan A. The Eastern Range requires the Artemis I Flight Termination System to be tested every 20-25 days. This deadline has passed. NASA has requested an extension for potential launch attempts on September 23 and September 27. Stay tuned for more updates.
