NASA is testing their new rocket, the Space Launch System (SLS) in the Vehicle Assembly Building. In a recent test, NASA EGS connected the swing arms and QD connection. They then quickly disconnected them just as they would at launch. This test occurred with a mass simulator replacing Orion and LAS. Following the tests, NASA will destack the mass simulator and replace it with the Orion Adapter, Orion, and the Launch Abort System. The rocket will then be rolled out to Launch Complex 39B. There, NASA will do a Wet Dress Rehearsal, which means they will do everything they would at launch day up to ignition. They will then roll back for check outs. After that, the SLS will be rolled back for launch.

There has been some speculation about this test not going to plan as some part didn't retract. Is this true or do you have any information?
