SpaceX and NASA have done a lot of progress on Starship and the SLS. Both rockets will help NASA return to the moon, this time to stay.
Starship
SpaceX has completed three static fire tests on Ship 20.
One was a pre-burner test of an RC Engine on October 19. Two days later, Rvac5 was static fired. This was the first time a Raptor Vacuum engine was fired at Starbase. Ship 20 was unexpectedly not detanked right away, instead, less than an hour later, both the RC engine and Rvac5 were fired together. More engines will be installed on Ship 20 for static fire testing and flight.
SLS
The SLS was completed on October 21 with the addition of the Orion spacecraft and Launch Abort System. SLS is the most powerful rocket NASA has ever built and the second moon rocket the agency has completed. SLS will soon roll out to LC-39B for a WDR (Wet Dress Rehearsal). After the test, it will roll back
Wasn't the preburner on October 19 Rvac5 as well? I think NSF labelled it Rvac on their video. I don't think they would have needed a preburner for SL engines.
