On Wednesday, December 8 at 7:02 pm ET (23:24 UTC), Rocket Lab launched the "A Data with Destiny" mission atop an Electron rocket from Launch Complex 1 at Rocket Lab's private facility on the Mahia Peninsula in New Zealand. This flight launched two more earth-observation satellites for BlackSky. This fulfills BlackSky's goal to have 12 satellites in orbit by the end of 2021. This mission was the second in BlackSky's contract with Rocket Lab for three dedicated launches with two satellites each. BlackSky both has flights on dedicated missions for them (such as this one) and flies satellites as rideshare payloads (as in the most recent SpaceX Starlink launch).
