The Launch of "The Owl Spreads Its Wings"

On Wednesday, September 15 at 4:38pm EDT (20:38 UTC), Rocket Lab launched "The Owl Spreads Its Wings" mission on their Electron rocket from LC-1B at the Mahia Peninsula in New Zealand. This was Rocket Lab's 3rd launch of 4 of Synspective's StriX satellites designed to use synthetic aperture radar to detect small changes to Earth's surface. This was Rocket Lab's 30th launch and the 118th orbital launch attempt of 2022.
