Starship Gets Closer to Orbital Attempt with QD Arm Installation

QD Arm is Installed

Last weekend, SpaceX installed the QD (Quick Disconnect) Arm on the launch tower. This carries fuel from the launch tower to Starship. It is also part of the Mechazilla system described by Elon Musk. It will stabilize the booster for stacking.

- Another part of the Mechazilla system, the booster catch arms and stacking crane us being built at the launch site ahead of installation on the launch tower.

- 6 of the 7 GSE tanks are at the launch site

- The QD Arm for the booster was installed on the launch table.
