SpaceX launched the SXM-8 mission for Sirus XM at 12:26 am EDT on Sunday, June 6. If they wouldn't be able to launch at that time, there was a 1 hr, 59 min window. If they wouldn't be able to launch during that time, there was a backup opportunity on Monday with the same times. The 45th Weather Squadron predicted a 70% chance of favorable weather with the primary concerns of Debris Cloud and Anvil Cloud. This mission followed the SXM-7 mission last year which failed. The rocket worked perfectly but there was an anomaly with the satellite about 6 weeks after launch.
