Visting Starbase

As one of the few people who have visited Starbase, I can't express how cool it was. If you are in the Brownsville/South Padre Island Area, it is a must-see. As you drive on Hwy 4/Boca Chica Blvd, you see the famous (to space nerds) High Bay, Mid Bay, and the launch site. Once you get to the production site, park your car and walk up to two Starships on display, SN15 and SN16. SN15 flew to 10 km in May 2021 and was the first full-stack Starship to survive a flight. SN16 was going to fly on a hypersonic test flight, but this was supposedly canceled. After you see them, drive a few miles down the road to the launch site where you can see the massive launch tower, Ship 20, Booster 4, the remains of Booster 3, and Starhopper. Starhopper was the first Starship prototype. It flew to 150 m with a single Raptor engine.

So whether you are a "tank watcher" who loves Starship or just someone who has taken an interest to Starship progress, Starbase is a great place to visit!
